I loved Terrazza and will recommend it to my guests. It is perfect for couples on a romantic celebration or even after a day at the beach. The ambiance is versatile for a casual lunch or dinner or even a little more special occasion, but staying on the casual side. The setting is stunning, while we waited, we walked around and it made the wait even shorter than it actually was. About the food, Juan gave us amazing recommendations. For appetizer, we had the Avocado Tuna Tartare wich was really fresh and delicious. The Caprese Salad was served with a mouthwatering and creamy burrata. My guest had the Meatball, it was also good but not my favorite dish as it really is a big meatball served by itself. They do serve bread but to me this dish is a little too much meat for an individual appetizer, great for sharing. The tomato sauce tasted freshly made and the cheese made a great combination. My Meatball and Spinach pasta was exquisite and the Salmon is served with a sauce that makes a perfect pairing, delicious! I ordered a Spicy Chili Mojito which I loved! It was very fresh, with a surprising hot kick at the end. The F & B Manager Eric Hernandez told me about some of the events they have including the Ladies Brunch on Sundays, which I will definitely recommend to my guests. I really loved the pool, bar and restaurant area and will be going back more than once. I give Terrazza 4 stars because of one suggestion I have already communicated to the restaurant, however, I recommend it without a doubt!

cool spot at Shore Club hotel that's become a lunch go-to at the beach. health-ish eats on terrace in verdant Moroccan garden looking out to lounging lizards poolside. ring bell at beach door for entry.

The only reason I came here was because a friend gave me a gift certificate. It was a great experience! The staff was super nice even after knowing I intended to pay with the gift certificate. The atmosphere of the restaurant was really cool We ordered the artichokes as an appetizer, filet migon for dinner, and the potatoes and asparagus as sides. Everything was cooked perfectly and service staff was super friendly. I've been to lots of steakhouses, and their steak rivaled that of other restaurants. A+!

We stayed at The Shore Club this weekend. Friday afternoon I had a pizza and my husband had a burger at Terrazza. Both were good, but not phenomenal, and given the quality they were overpriced. Our waiter was extremely kind and attentive. Saturday morning we had the breakfast buffet at Terrazza. BUFFET. That means an inept waiter shouldn't have mattered, but in the three minutes total we interacted with our waiter, he brought more and incorrect drinks than we ordered, multiple times. Of course, guess what ended up on the bill? All of them. We had two vouchers for free brunch - our friends had had an alarm beeping constantly in their room, so the management graciously offered those as an apology, which was kind - and after attempting to explain how to re-do the bill a few times we gave up. The next day, back at Terrazza for the breakfast buffet - BUFFET - again, and the same thing happened - different waiter, different incorrect drinks, but we still had to pay for his mistake and we just didn't have the energy to fight again. It's a shame because the food is okay (not great - I don't think eggs and potatoes and a few slices of not-really-good fruit should cost $28). If we have to stay at The Shore Club again, I will find other places to eat. It was such a huge waste of money just for the convenience of being right there. The food was not bad - some was tasty! - but the insane prices and mostly horrible service mean I won't be back if I can help it.

I thought that I wrote a review on this place? The breakfast is OK but cannot be substituted which is a little gross seeing as how it's obviously been soaking in whatever it's in and not fresh. The pasta is great. Last time we dined here we sat next to Benny Benassi. Great spot in the Shore Club.

Are you kidding me. Setting the tone going to the restaurant with all the candles. Having a great server. Meatball, ahi tuna and pizza for app. Can't go wrong with any but meatball was off the chart. Desserts left a little to desire. Had the Gargonelli with truffle, best pasta dish I ever had. Try to get by the pool. Very initiate setting. Love it!

Delicious Italian food, totally unexpected from a Miami hotel (Shore Club). My boyfriend and I shared the following: Antipasti Tuna and Avocado Tartar- really fresh tasting, nice sized pieces of tuna (ie. not all mushy), crostini toast accompaniment. Meatball- great texture, soft, not tough/dried out and not too many bread crumbs. Melted cheese and tomato sauce over the top (also great to dip bread into). Pasta Paglia E Fieno Bolognese- Fresh, in house made pasta cooked al dente. The sauce could have had more meat, but we had the meatball to balance that out. Contorni Brussel sprouts and pancetta- the pancetta was delightful and crispy ( no fatty globs) which was great over the brussel sprouts. We really enjoyed everything we ordered, including the champagne! On Wednesday nights they have a special "wine down" which features discounted glasses of wine. The Shore club did a great job of decorating the bar area before arriving at the restaurant. We ended up having a couple of drinks there and enjoyed the atmosphere. If we ever come back to Miami, we'll definitely stop by here again.

Ago at Shore Club has a new name...Terraza. I was there with a large corporate group last week. The food was excellent. Especially good: caprese (hard to go wrong but large yummy slices of mozzarella and tomatoes), the mushrooms, the sea bass, desserts. The stone crab salad was blech but everything else was delightful. Same vibe, same environment as Ago, but a nice refresh in the kitchen.

Had a business meeting at the shore club, and we popped downstairs for lunch. The server was nice and quite decent, but he had issues recommending anything on the menu. That was my first bad sign of things to come. Caesar salad was big and very good, highlight of my meal for sure. I had a meatball sandwich which was not very good, the bread was quite poor and the ingredients were also poorly prepared. The meatballs were tasteless, the sauce was very sweet, and there was a lot of bread for few meatballs. I ended up just eating the meatballs and leaving the bread. It was not ideal to say the least. The pizzas looked quite good, but I didn't try any of it. Probably going to pass next time..

My husband and I ventured to this restaurant for dinner as we were staying at Shore Club as well. We had flown in that evening, and after freshening up, we were in the mood to stay on site and eat within the hotel. The view of the pool lit up is entrancing and makes for a good ambiance. Now on to the food and service! The food is great; the complimentary bread was perfectly spongy (I dont even know if that is a word) and as vegetarians, we had a small selection and had the gnocci and mushroom ravioli. Both were well seasoned and at the right portion. We like our food with a bit of heat so our server was very accommodating and brought over chili flakes. We ordered tiramisu for dessert and the flavor was perfect. However, the lady fingers were outside the dessert. A bit different and unexpected. I would have rather had a more traditional tiramisu so the lady fingers are moist and soaked on the inside of the dessert. At the end of the meal, we were served with limoncello on the house to top of a true Italian dinner. Throughout our dinner service, our server was the most attentive without being overbearing. We asked abt a special request to make eggplant timbale (a dish we especially enjoyed in Florence this past summer) and he informed us the chef would be able to make it at another visit. Unfortunately, we were not able to take him up on the offer however we definitely appreciated it. Don't know why this place has such a small number of reviews but as for dinner, this is a must-go place if you are staying in the area

We started the evening walking to a restaurant that was near here only to find it closed. Lucky for us it was. The tilapia was very good and my friends enjoyed their risotto as well. The bartender Julian was very nice and didn't add the shots we had for a birthday celebration to the tab. He referred us to a bar area to continue the party. Worth going!

While at a corporate dinner, we had a five or six course set dinner here. O MY GOSH! It was unbelievable. Every dish was delightful. I especially liked the antipasti salad and the tuna appetizer. I ate so much of them that i barely had room for the entrees of deliciously cooked meats. I would love to eat here again.

Quite possibly my favorite brunch I have been to in my life, ever. First off, Shore Club is the quintessential perfect South Beach hotel in my opinion aesthetically. Bright colors, comfortable areas to hang out, and attractive people. Now place a restaurant poolside with a perfect view of all that pool action, add bottomless mimosas and amazing food, and you have a happy girl. I spent my birthday doing the "Ladies Who Brunch" Sunday Brunch here which is $44 per lady (add $20 for males) and includes an impressive buffet selection and bottomless mimosas, bellinis, and bloody marys. They also serve up brunch on Saturdays and breakfast daily. Favorite foods: the truffled grits/polenta on a small plate (I think with pork belly), the octopus risotto small plate, watermelon salad, the amazing cheese display, every single dessert. 4 stars just because service was pretty slow on getting those bellinis re-filled.

Came here for the Sunday "Ladies Brunch" during a bachelorette weekend and it was one of the best brunches I've been to in a while. The whole "buffet" concept always has me a bit skeptical because typically the food isn't always fresh but the chefs @ Terrazza definitely know what they're doing because everything was perfection. My favorite dish was the beef short ribs over polenta. The beef literally melted in my mouth. I also enjoyed the made-to-order omelets; they used two eggs instead of three which made it a lot less "eggy" than most places, a good thing IMO. The restaurant also offers a wide array of salads (the kale and Caesar were my faves), dessert options and bottomless mimosas, bellinis and sangria. From now on, the brunch at Terrazza will definitely be on my to-do list whenever I'm in Miami.

We had a really nice dinner here last night. Our waiter (Mike) was very knowledgeable about the menu and the specific wines on the wine list. He was attentive without being over bearing. I was a bit of a pig and ordered 3 apps all of which were fresh, delicious and a reasonable size. For south beach it was pretty well priced as well. My girlfriends steak was cooked to perfection and she loved the sauce it came with. I tried it and it was nice, but I prefer my steak to stand alone. This won't make my list of top restaurant, but I would go back. Dining pool side was a nice touch.

Everything that could go wrong here basically did. Since we stayed in this hotel, we thought we could get a quick bite to eat. We were wrong. Place was empty when we got here. Our food took forever to come. I think it took us about 2 hours from start to finish. I had the Benedict, which was good, but nothing special that you can't find elsewhere. However, my friend that ordered toast with eggs, she waited forever. Her eggs came out first and she waited 40 minutes for toast! And yes, we did keep asking where her toast was. Finally the toast came out, and it was a platter with 10 slices!. This was ridiculous, since no one else in our group even ate it, and my friend only needed 2 slices for her eggs. Big waste of food. Since the toast came out so late, she ate it with her cold eggs. She didn't bother asking to get new eggs because if it took 40 minutes for toast, imagine how long it would take for scrambled eggs. To top it off, her eggs had egg shells. Our server was also new, but it didn't seem like it was his fault. He was there when we needed him and it just seemed like he put in all the orders, and the kitchen just didn't cook. I wonder if they all had 40 minute break in the middle of brunch time? We did talk to a manager about this experience, and he explained that they just got a lot of new staff. Still....I would never eat here again. We were comped just my friend's eggs and toast that she didn't even finish due to egg shells Overall, terrible experience. Don't bother with this place.

Went on Sunday for lunch but found out only Brunch buffet without MENU. I don't know what those dishes are and, attention, NO BUFFET CAN BE GOOD. When those dishes have already been made and sitting on a counter for some time, they go bad. Very disappointed. The service was horrible, too. The host wasn't pay attention in the phone when I made reservation, nor did he treat me well when I was dining:(

mother sister and I had a very pleasant experience here on a Sunday evening. located inside the Shore Club, Terrazza is their italiano place. beautiful outdoor seating which must a be a treat during brunch. server was very attentive and helpful. granted there was only about 4 tables filled in the place but it was End of May and the Heat were in the semi finals. had a nice bottle of white vino, delicious panchetta brussel sprouts and a wedge salad for sister, RISOTTO AI FRUTTI DI MARE for myself , GARGANELLI for sister and fish for mama. everyone enjoyed their meal thoroughly and the server was attentive , finished off with sharing a tiramisu and some gelato. I should preface that I had a $200 GC for this meal which covered everything and tip included. would I return with paying with my own hard money? Sure, this time for a boozy ladies brunch no diggity no doubt

Definitely the place to go for Sunday Brunch! From the food, service, and the atmosphere of the place I was in awe. The unlimited Sangrias, Mimosas, and Bellinis were a plus to the delicious food. It was a buffet and man did I have all I can eat and drink, so totally worth it. I was in Miami for a week and my girls and I definitely agree this was one of the best meals/deals we had. So worth it, I can't wait to come back! : )

The shore club salad was good, way to many pickled beets, but still good. The scallops were under cooked (twice! I asked for another serving) they were so salty the taste of salt lasted even after chewing mint gum and drinking a mojito! Asked the server and buser for water three times and tea twice! The bread served before the meal was also so doughy that it stuck to your teach and seemed under baked! Both deserts that were served to the table were good, the pasta my mother had wasn't good either. The server was polite but the manager Sept. 4th stated that he looked at the scallops and they were cooked....they were pan seared and not cooked all the way, I know seafood Mr!!!!! They were too salty and like a slimy-gum texture. He didn't force a 18% tip but still charged for the entire meal!!! Not Going Back or Recommending To any of my Broward or Miami-Dade network! Unacceptable!

The food, and service is excellent! Patrick and Ashley gave excellent customer service, they were attentive!! My sister has stomach issues, and can not eat anything with spice! We informed Patrick of her issue, and he made sure the dish was not spicy!! He double checked with the cook!! Ashley was not out server but when I had asked the bus boy a question, he was not able to answer because of the language barrier! She heard the conversation, and asked if she can help! Ashley was paying attention to other customers besides her own! She is willing to help any customer! I give the customer service a 10!!

OK... So thank god I didn't have to pay for my own meal. Went there for meeting. This place is defiantly 5 star restaurant. The place is gorgeous and the servers were really good. Very elegant and very south beach. Why do I give 4 star? Because the food wasn't that great compare to the price. I had sea food... Something. Lobster was tough and over cook as well as the rest of the seafood on my plate. The appetizers were..... OK. Brussel sprout thing was really crunchy....like, raw crunchy. Maybe its suppose to be like that and bitter ? Green beans thing was also crunchy with tomato something on top.... Chips looking thing was probebly from a bag. At least it taste like it. The cheese and olive plater was good. Nothing special. I can get the same thing at Sam 's. Probebly for ALOT cheaper.

1 star because I can't give ZERO on yelp! but this place is fail. We had a reservation for 10 people for a birthday dinner, we arrive around 9 PM, restaurant is pretty much empty in this first week of September in Miami, we get seated and ask to see Miami Spice menu. The server tells us that the restaurant only honor Miami Spice menu up to a group of 5 people!! excuse me! I've been all around Miami for Miami Spice for years and never heard this before. It's not on their or the restaurant's website! We asked to speak to a manager (Eddy), you would think a manager at a restaurant like Terrazza at the Shore Club would know how to treat customers, provide service and meet the expectation? Nope you are wrong! this manager lacks all the industry principals and skills, refuse to honor the Miami Spice and refuse to serve us! Pretty much asking us to leave. Very unprofessional I don't even expect from a high school drop! Restaurants are built on two major principles: serve great food and give great service. This restaurant owners fail to take the time to chart out what specifically they want their service to look and feel like or invest the funds to create a solid service program. Anyways, we ended up across the street at Bâoli where we didn't have a reservation, and they Honored their Miami Spice menu. The food was great and the atmosphere was fabulous. They also have live music and DJ after 11 in their lounge area. Last this to say: we are not tourist, we live in Miami Beach, and we always bring guests, family and friends and recommend places to people visiting from out of town. one thing I'm sure about is that I will Never recommend Terrazza to anyone until their fix their problems starting with the management and Honor their commitment to a program (Miami Spice). A separate complaint will be filed with (Miami Spice program) to investigate this behavior.

Perfect setting and location, good food, reasonably priced and real Italian unlike many other wannabes, All pastas are home made, pizzas are delicious and the manager Max, all Italian as well (and good looking!), is a great asset to the place: very professional and on top of everything, he made our dining experience a very pleasurable one! Thanks!

Wow. What a place. South Beach Miami Collins and 16th street. I was amazed with the place. Haven't been there for about 10 years but it is still top of the line. Went to terrazza for dinner. Roddey the manager couldn't have been nicer. Got us amazing table overlooking the pool party going on. Service was outstanding. Had the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. A bottle of champagne to start and it wasn't bad for the price! $95. The pool party was something to watch too. Off the charts. There is a small garden bar where we hung out before the restaurant opened which is really cool. The entire staff at the Shore Club couldn't have been nicer!! And on top of everything it is reasonably priced. Good wines by the glass. i had a chinati that was very good. Anyway HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Check it out. Readwhine.com

Had breakfast here this morning and it seemed to go well with orange juice and hot tea. I ordered lemon ricotta pancakes which were slow to come out but that's not why this place was bad today. Customer with cigar was smoking and it was awful. I had to move to a sofa in the front. I almost died. The eggs Benedict made up for it and good thing he went away fast enough.

LOVE!! I ate here when this place was Ago and loved it. Now it's even better! Chef Tom is a culinary ninja. I bow to him in his mastery of all things delicious. Chris, my waiter, was wonderful. Start to finish I was expertly attended to. All the staff are polite, kind, and helpful. It is that old school, Italian kindness and hospitality that I miss terribly in LA. Love you guys! NOW, onto the food. When I eat here, it is no holds barred. I come to play. For my first course on this particular evening, I had the burrata. It was so creamy and light, paired with crisp tomatoes, fresh arugula, and lightly seasoned and oiled. It was mouth watering. It may be the best burrata I've ever had. My limited Italian has caused me to forget the name of the homemade pasta I had, but it was ricotta filled gnocchi with prosciutto and peas in a DELIGHTFUL peppery, cream sauce. I usually only eat half my plate when it's pasta, but I will gladly admit that that I licked the bowl clean. Holy lord, that was good pasta. I talked to chef Tom between moaning and belly rubs, and told him how much I loved him. This pasta shames all other pasta. Because I couldn't control myself, I had a piece of tiramisu. The lady fingers were perfect, and the chocolate it was paired with balanced it perfectly. It was quite large, so I couldn't finish it, but it would be a great dessert to share. Finally, by sheer willpower, I fit in two glasses of good prosecco. At $12 a glass it is a steal in South Beach. The patio is romantic and beautiful, the staff are wonderful, and the food is Michelin star, Beard award worthy. When you are in South Beach, be good to your palate, and visit Terraza.

Terrazza , an evening Shore Club Style! 1901 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL Terraza is a lovely venue were most of the seating overlooks the Shore Club's infamous pool area giving your dining experience a bit of romance in a relaxed atmosphere. The service was terrific without being too overbearing, very knowledgeable of the menu and helpful in making recommendations. For cocktails I tried the Dreaming in a bubble, a champagne cocktail that tickles your taste buds, my friend tried the passion fruit margarita. We started with the Crudo tuna and avocado tartare, Kale salad with goat cheese grapes and onions followed by a Seafood salad (scallops, shrimp with red wine vinegar). For entrée we continued with the spinach Ravioli and Short Rib with polenta and cavatelli. Pastas perfectly cooked al dente and the seafood was wonderful. For dessert we had vanilla bean mascarpone and chocolate lava cake. A nice place for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. Inserder tips; *Don't forget to stop by the sky bar for a night cap to complete your evening! *Sunday brush is from 8am to 4 pm for $44, ladies get unlimited Bellini's and bloody mary's, men will have an upcharge of $20.

I know what the title us but I was. The hotel itself was beautiful but the staff was aloof. Now for the actual restaurant fantastic. The waiter Jason was personable and very nice. Engaging both of us in conversations. We both did the Miami Spice menu and everything was great. It was on a Tuesday afternoon so the place was essentially left to both my hubby and me. After this we will stroll along ocean and bask in the sun for a while.

I would love to leave a glowing review for Terrazza at Shore Club. I wish I could describe how amazing the menu was, or how fantastic the wait staff treated us. I'd be thrilled if I were able to go on about the delicious food and masterful craft cocktails, or how the deserts are to die for. But I can't. Because this establishment is either incompetent or incapable of honoring reservations via Open Table. I had reserved a late dinner (10:30) for me and my girlfriend to celebrate our birthdays. They took my reservation and I received a confirmation from Open Table. But, much to our surprise and dismay, when we arrived the restaurant was closed for the night. The hotel staff informed us that they close at 10 o'clock. WTH!? Thankfully, Prime One Twelve was open till midnight and we had an incredible meal, there. I hope this rant will save others from the frustration and let down of ruined celebration plans at Terrazza.

How embarrassing it must be to share a space with such a wonderful restaurant like Nobu & provide such low quality dining. The wine list in this "Italian" restaurant is so scarce that the best bottle of Cab is a $130 Stags Leap! The seafood risotto was so overly spicy it was simply inedible! The only up side was the outdoor seating & the wonderful weather that evening. Do yourself a favor & skip this restaurant.

Really didn't like the brunch. Buffet was weak...just fruit and breads. Food was ok, but only ok. For about $35 a person it wasn't really good at all. Mostly stuff I could make at home Valet is $15 and unpleasant. It was an ehhh place. Atmosphere is pretty good but far from the best in mimai.

Thanks!

We came here for brunch. I got the buffet which was awesome, everything was cooked perfectly and so so tasty. My fiance got the lemon ricotta pancakes and they were fantastic! So fluffy and flavorful OMG. If you are staying at the hotel you have to go here for brunch.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
